What is the most accurate Milsurp Rifle of all time?

I am going to throw a few out there...

The K-31 Seems to make the top of this list every year. Heck they seem to smoke everyone at Camp Perry and vintage bolt gun matches around the country.

1903's and all their iterations. Very popular at national Matches to this day.

Finn'ed Mosins. The Finns really worked on them and replaced barrels and triggers and stocks.

Mausers? German, Swedish, Yugo?

Lastly---Garands. Not super crazy tack drivers but you can dope them.

I don't shoot matches but when I zero my MILSURPS I get very tight groups with my M1917 Eddystone and Winchester as well as my P14.

Next best are my Garand Winchester, Springfield and IHC. Very low MEs all 1 or less IIRC.

Yeah I was guessing the Swede Mauser would be in the top 5. Never had the chance to shoot one but everything I read about them was overwhelmingly positive. There was a glut of them in the mid/late 90s and Kimber offered some customized examples for a short time. Aside from that I'd have to say the most accurate would be some variation of a Mauser action. Or maybe...possibly a 1903 Springfield since it was a Mauser ripoff .

Yeah, loves me some K31.

A little something that helps is that the surplus ammo is match grade.

And she seems to stay accurate once warmed up.

Sorry, my only other milsurp experience is with a Garand.

100 yards with @GAGunguy's Garand. Always the flyer. Actually a better group than my K31. Shooting Greek surplus ball ammo.



IMHO the peep sights on the Garand beat the K31 leaf style. I bet I could do better with my K31 if I had a set of peeps for her.
