What is the name of the part on this DW 1911

And how do I remove it-cap on the spring? I need the name so I can Youtube it. It is unlike my other 1911s'.

Should've been a tool that kinda looked like a bottle opener with it. Made specifically to push that spring cap in and twist the barrel bushing at the same time.

Tried a universal tool I got with my Les, but the spring cap goes down, however the guide rod does not.

It looks like the tip of the guide rod has a hex head

Hell I can't remember half what I used to know. When you pull the slide back, is there a small hole in the recoil spring guide?

Sometimes you have to put a clip in there and then take off the slide assembly, then take it apart from there.

Might be setup like the Springfields that require that stupid pin and allen wrench to remove the guide rod.

Sounds like you have a full length guide rod. Remove the hex head cap/bolt with an Allen wrench to begin disassembly.
