I've had several folks inquire with guns I'm looking to sale to fund projects and such with a "I like the gun but I'm going to have to shoot it, test it out prior to buying it" and then they want me to meet them at their gun range? I let a guy come to me and shoot it (my ammo, yeah I'm an idiot) and then he says, "Oh I really like it but I just don't have the money together right now. How's about a trade?" He just burnt $25 worth of ammo in a super clean gun, shot it great but tells me he doesn't have the funds afterwards. I don't mean to be a prick but the days of trying it out before buying it (with me) are over...

Any of y'all got input on this or similar experiences?

Id tell them they can shoot it but they better bring ammo

Chalk that up to a thought that came AFTER the fact. I mean, when I go to buy something, I bring the money and have plans to buy it if it is what I expect it to be from the ad.

Just seems folks want to wheel and deal like this is Sanford and Son or something.

I wouldn't let someone being their own ammo to shoot in my gun if they wanted to test drive it.....nope not going to bring your over loaded reloads and run them in my **** and risk blowing it up. You can shoot my ammo and pay me for it if you decide not to purchase, and that magazine worth that you just shot was $20.

Am a "young buck" and while I understand wanting to shoot it before buying it. Always bring your own ammo.

And yes, the guy that shoot it should have had his money ready or not came at all.

Am sorry for your experience, but don't let one ruin it for the mass.
