What is with the "Must Shoot It Before Buy It" stuff?

it all depends on what is for sale and how much and where

alot of grey area here, but i find most ODT members are pretty reasonable and willing to negotiate

No one has ever asked me, and I trust almost everyone on here with good feedback. That's why I buy and sell on here, so I don't HAVE to shoot it before I buy it.

I sold an Ar to a gent that never owned one before and offered to meet him at my range to shoot it and to learn how to strip it, etc. I had the mag I was including loaded with 10 eds of steel .223. But, it was a 900 dollar gun pre-panic and 2.00 worth of ammo.

Good subject.............clarification required here, for me at least. I've never had any problems with a purchase so far but often wondered about the procedures if after you bought and later have problems. Guess I've always thought "buyer beware" rule applies.

what does everyone have against letting people shooting their gun? i mean if it's brand new, never shot, then sure. if it's been shot and carried, what difference does it make?

most gun stores that i know of will let you shoot a gun that's either used, or is a rental if your intent is to buy one.

Call me a jerk, but I don't need or want the hassle.

in the NEW ODT, it's bad enough getting whittled down all the time and I don't need to add this to the mix.

Maybe I'm just cranky because I have a killer headache and I am 0-2 in fantasy football.
