What is with the "Must Shoot It Before Buy It" stuff?

but we arent gun stores, we are hobbyists

like i said before i feel a request like that is very issue specific

what if someone wanted to watch you shoot the gun to make sure it worked?

My feedback speaks for itself. If you think my gun does not work as described then don't buy it. I'm not about to let you dirty up my firearm then make up your mind. Can I try this twix before I buy it ? Nope.

Call me a jerk, but I don't need or want the hassle.

in the NEW ODT, it's bad enough getting whittled down all the time and I don't need to add this to the mix.

Maybe I'm just cranky because I have a killer headache and I am 0-2 in fantasy football.

Absolutely!!
I want to know where these gun stores are that let you shoot it first? other than rentals at a range.
Sure you can shoot it first if i'm selling. You pay for the range time and the ammo.

kind of like buying a car or somethin. if i'm not allowed to drive it, sure as **** ain't buyin it.

That's a very nice trusting attitude that you have. It should carry you far in life. Contrary to your belief, not everybody is out to screw you out of anything. Go forth and prosper young man,,,

lol you know what i mean

i think most long time ODT members with a high enough feedback dont worry about this issue, like you said before its to much of a hassle to organize it

i dont think i would ever ask someone to let me shoot it ahead of time myself, but the way i figure is if someone wants to make sure it works i can meet them at a range, sell it to them, and then they can do what they want. i wouldnt mind sticking around for a second if they wanna shoot it after the fact. if there is an issue for any reason with any of the items i sell, i would offer a refund or exchange back

like i said though, most of this is asinine and a waste of time

i think the feedback system is the best check for honesty on the ODT

Never felt the need to shoot a gun before I bought it. Then again, I usually know exactly what I'm looking for, field strip it to make sure everything looks right. If nothing seems out of place, it's deal on.

This. Many gun stores won't let you even field strip it. Much less shoot it. If they wanna try it before they buy it I'll be sure to let them know that this ain't panda express and you can't toothpick my item before you buy it. You can always deside that you don't like what you see and move on.

Id tell them they can shoot it but they better bring ammo

Maybe factory ammo. Nah, pay me for my factory ammo. Show the cash first.

On second thought, no way. I'll break it down for you to check out, and I'll let you dry fire it with a dowel, but if you want to shoot it, buy it.
