What is with the "Must Shoot It Before Buy It" stuff?

Every newb on here will want a chance to shoot my stuff....I'd rather go to armslist or GB.

What IF a newb has a weapon that you'd love to have; do you buy at your own risk or simply avoid buying from a newb?

Ego not bruised... Just never in the 15 years of buying/selling guns have I had a "Need To Try It" come about until recently. Would be nice if gun stores allowed this practice. I'd have had a lot less guns over my life and been trickled down to what I really enjoy a whole lot sooner.

The range I go to has a very large selection of rental guns....I tried a bunch of stuff early on to figure out what I liked and didn't like.

Do your research. Look at one broken down so that you can get an idea of what to look for. I can very easily spot a usp that has been shot to ****.

Anytime you buy something used you are taking a risk. That's why used guns are cheaper.

I do my homework on it first. I don't mind buying from guys with zero feedback I have done it many times.

What I don't want is some newb blasting on my P30 deciding if he wants it.

I don't want "shooting try outs" to be the new norm.

In old and stubborn and we never did it before this place exploded.

Best I'll do is to meet you at a PROFESSIONAL gunsmith.
Name on a BUSINESS, insurance, license etc

not your cousins house because he took a course online
not your brother in-laws house that knows allot about guns

and buyer is footing the bill for the inspection if requested.

if I have a question about a weapon, I'll have it inspected anyway.

sig sauers with german or west german slides

the slide weight is quite different then the newer solid stainless steel slides, and can make it more difficult to get accurate shots for some who are used to newer models
