What is with the "Must Shoot It Before Buy It" stuff?

I have let one person shoot a rifle before he bought it. He was an older man and we were on his farm. He did not demand it and he wasn't jerking my chain or anything like that. He was a great guy and just wanted to shoot. I had no problem with it and he bought the rifle.

For the most part a buyer should check my feedback and be content that I'm honest.

I`ve told those that I sold to to bring it back in 24 hours if it doesn`t perform to suit them, and I`ll give the money back and take the gun back.Nobody has ever returned one.I don`t blame people for wanting to shoot a semi before purchase, but this should be decided between buyer and seller.I recently bought a NEW one that had problems.I bought it to carry on a trip where I needed a pocket gun.Didn`t get to take it,as it was being repaired.I was not happy.I haven`t been ripped on a used gun,but will only buy from someone who I get a good feeling about when we meet.

Something like that then maybe. A respected member who invites me to his farm. That is doable. I let a mod test fire an ak before he bought it.

I went to a guys house that was way out in douglasville . He took it apon himself to demo the pistol for me . He went to the side of his house and discharged one round to prove it worked. Made me feel better, laugh and feel uncomfortable all at once.

I would have 0 problems letting them if
1) I see cash
2) they bring or have money for ammo (1 mag of something cheap isn't serious but let's be gentlemen)
3) I will be holding a 30$ cleaning deposit fully refundable on purchase (if sale is declined not due to obvious malfunction buyer was not made aware of as 1 hour of my free time I value at 60$ and it will take me approximately 30 minutes to strip clean lube and reassemble the firearm)

This seems like an awful amount of work just to sell something. Next thing you know they will want a carfax. Ooooo light bulb. I'm going to create a website called "gunfax". Nice usp. Now show me the gunfax.
