What is wrong with young people now?

Before I retired I took cardio classes at work and was always the oldest person in the room with the rest being in their late 20's to mid 30's. Apparently, I was also invisible since nobody ever spoke unless I spoke first and definitely never carried on a conversation. Old people are just not cool enough to talk to.

What were you selling? Teenagers are just awkward/weird for the most part. I know I was with strangers, especially ones trying to sell me stuff. Now that I'm in my 40's I'll talk to anyone.

Kids at a track and field meet will text each other even if they are literally a few feet apart in line. Why do they have their phones while standing or sitting in line for an event? I think it's because they feel less whole without a phone. Ergo: they can't carry on a conversation.

Most are just scared of me and wont speak. Younger than that and they are pretty cool. and most all the young ones at a swap meet or a meet and greet are pretty damn cool
