What Is Your Dream Car?

Welllll....It tried really hard to be a daily...then it said, Nah F this shii....lol
One of the regulars at the track daily'ed a Subaru Brat (complete with the seats in the bed), tubbed and narrowed with a blown small block and 350HP nitrous...complete tube chassis. Ugly vehicle model for sure but it was flawless and complete paint matched bright red, with centerline aluminum drag wheels. He managed a Pizza Hut and parked it on the road for everyone to see, LOL.

Hot rods were a big deal where I grew up, several nitrous and blown vehicles, tubbed and narrowed, daily drivers - several nova's and even a 58 chevy Apache.

Just to be clear, I never had any vehicles like that, factory Camaro's was the closest I ever got...LOL

That’s more like a dream garage lol.
Well I couldn't pick just one. But then again...If I wanted something to drive semi daily then of course the Jag and Alfa would not make the cut. I just love boxy two door cars. That's why I put the Chevy 2, Falcon/Comet and Volvo 242 on my list. Color me boring but I would also really dig a Fairmont two door sedan with ALL the Fox body Mustang goodies bolted on including the 5.0 from a late 90s Explorer.
Last month I was taking my last daughter to night classes in Warner Robins and I saw something I ain't seen in decades and didn't expect to see again. But since it was Chrimmuh time I didn't even stop to find out how much it was. Anyway what it was that almost made me wreck looking at it was a Chevette two door. For the longest time I wanted a Chevette to cram the 4.3 engine and transmission from an S10 into. That would make a great sleeper ride. But they're all but gone now. And the few that remain are at least as expensive as the aforementioned Fairmont.

What year you grad. high school?

I used to watch one at the 1/8 mile track near my house ("run what you brung" races), daily driver with bulletproofed motor and upgraded turbos (two) that consistently ran in the upper 7's and lower 8's. Factory wheels that had been widened to accept the massive tires - not tubbed but as close as they could get without tubbing it. That car was a beast, and looked crazy good... except for the rear wheels, it looked completely factory, right up until about the 60' mark when all hell broke loose. Awesome rides for sure!
Dallas dragstrip ?? (Southeastern dragstrip is the official name I think )
Spent many Saturday nights there running ! Lol

I thought you might have been around my age when you said you had a Grand National..they're pretty uncommon nowadays.
Dude they have a "registry" the locals keep of all the GN's on the island. Great group of guys too.
There aint but like 20 on Oahu...and MAYBE 10-13 might run. I think Nicholas Cage has 1 there...Prob. more hidden like that.
I was gonna bring it back to the states but a Coast Guard Officer gave me a price that I could not refuse.
