Took my AR (mock4) in 5.56 to a long range. I’d just installed a Vortex Strike Eagle 1-6 and zeroed it to 100 m. Most of my hunting is around that distance. So I wanted to see how this worked out at longer ranges. I pinged steel at 300m on the first shot, then walked it out to 700m. Pretty happy with that. Now to try my Henry in 308...

Only 25yds in the last 2 yrs (real practice) . The groups were good though , my Canik TP9 (first gen DC) will get'er done 21x . EDIT: The wife and kids have been on me to go shooting so it won't be long before I break out the long guns. Glad I found over 1500rds of ammo I didn't know I had.

Long range shooting has taken off in the last ten years in a big way..be it rimfire at 200 yards or
.338 Lpm at 1.5 miles.

Just go shoot and have fun.
