The 'Ishapore screw' was in fact originally used by British armorers. The Indians apparently kind of took it over.

If I remember the * indicates a mod to the original III spec. When they stopped fitting the magazine cutoff and, possibly, the volley sight and cocking piece to reduce manufacturing time / cost.
