if the weather is bad enough that you have to have your hazards on, your dumbass shouldn't even be on the road in the first place.
oh I agree with you there. Unfortunately most of the time you are on the freeway running along having a great day when it starts dumping rain on you. If it is bad enough to require the hazard lights I will start making my way to an exit and get off the road as quickly as possible. I do however want people to be able to see me while I am working my way off the road.
A couple of years ago I was running 140 between Adairsville and Rome when it started hailing really bad. I hit the hazards, slowed down and started looking for a side road to pull onto. Eventually it got so bad that we all just stopped in the middle of 140 with our hazards on because nobody could see anything. I was thankful for that big comcast van behind me and the big logging truck behind him as we all sat stopped in the middle of 140 for 5 minutes. I was terrified though that someone would be coming the other way and not have the sense to stop.
