What pistol is this Pachmayr magazine for?

Dimensionally, a 92s and 92fs mag would be the same. Maybe it's for a Sig P6. Some of the older models had the heel release. Not the same as a 229.

P6 is single stack.

I think I narrowed it down to a Beretta 96 .40 magazine. Front width near the follower is wider than a 92fs mag, and the mag lock hole is near identical on a Mecgar Beretta 96 .40 mag.

It has been years since I have held one and I am not going to cheat by looking up a picture but the fact it was made in the 94 - 04 dark days and it looks like it could have been meant for match use leads me to guess it is for Browning HP.
