Another Savage hog hunter here. I haven't really put a good scope on it yet (just an old 4x laying around) - are you guys using the irons or what optic did you put on it?

It seems no matter what new rifles I buy or trade over the years, I'm still using the first two rifles I ever owned. I guess they are proven and give me a little confidence when I'm taking a shot. Rugger M77 7 mag and a Winchester feather weight 3006. I love the Winchester and use it 90% of the time. Both topped with luepold scopes.
