Hey guys here is another question that been on my mind. My lady doesn't like shooting Rifles at all but likes handguns. I am thinking the Keltec Sub 2000 would be a good fit shooting a handgun cartridge out of a carbine length firearm. Plus the 33rnd Glock Mags are a heck of a lot of fun. What do you guys think?

Go shoot it. See if she likes it, if she does, buy it.
If you're on a budget try the Hipoint carbine. I had one for awhile and it shot flawless.

To be honest 5.56 and 9mm in a carbine isn't much difference.
Hmm, Good to know Its not for Christmas but for after Tax time. I think she would be ok with her own AR15 Carbine length but if I drop the money on it she better love it HAHA. She has shot everything including the shotgun so I think its all about her getting used to it.
AR's are very soft shooting if it's a recoil concern.
One thing about the Hi Point carbine I had... only real complaint is the fumes that come through the charging handle slot- it would choke me after a few rounds. Other than that, it was a fun little shooter.

If it were me I'd buy her this exact setup.
It's light, easy to shoot, works with my mags, and she'll know how to shoot my AR15 as well.
