I am a machinist, CNC programmer/operator by trade. And trying to think of something to do from home on the side that I could benefit from and possibly generate and extra income or at least pay for itself. I have thought of 3d printer, CNC router, laser engraver. Have even looked into maybe a CNC mini mill but that would be alittle more investment and would have to justify why it would be logical to go that route. What do you guys think?

We had a machine shop in my office that I subleased to. He made parts for old motorcycles. He always needed money.
I suggested that he make "power heads" or bang sticks. At one time they weren't considered guns because they had no triggering device. I think the laws may have changed. You must check with someone that knows. They sell on eBay for $120-$200. I had one in 5.56. They are small, easy to ship, costly and sell to alligator hunters and scuba divers. They are stainless steel and you will need a small lathe. You only need to make 2 or 3 calibers. You won't get rich but could make lots of beer money.
I have other ideas but ...

Thanks that's all I was wanting to do is make alittle beer/gun money. Not looking to retire yet.

I’ve got a microkinetics Cnc express mill with a lot of upgrades up for sale. Will post pics soon. Nearly $11k asking 3500 obo. Trades welcome. I got it to do slides and brackets, etc. problem is wiring in my house. Its old so I’ve been using my drier plug and breaker. Wife had an electrician friend over and he said it could catch the house on fire. Couple of grand to rewire or sell it and buy something less straining on the wiring. Have all the paperwork and inspection lists. The computer is old and slow but still works. Would recommend a newer one tho
