I miss my Motorola Timeport.
I've got our 1st phone around here somewhere...a Mitsubishi bag phone.
forget what bag phone I had,it was a pain in the ass I remember that
I've got my first cell phone somewhere around here. In 1990 it was expensive as hell.
We still don’t have cell service at my house and I love it. It drives our friends nuts when they come up to the mountains to “get away from it all”. They can’t handle getting away even for a weekend.
Meh, never gonna happen. There are so many redundancies built into the network backbone that it would be nearly impossible to take the Internet offline permanently. Now, can it be degraded or temporarily interrupted? Sure! It already has been but it recovered very quickly. There are constant denial of service attacks but again, they're mitigated very quickly, usually by automated means.
