I have a cheapo build AR (PSA, Anderson, & Radical Firearms if you catch my drift) that has some cosmetic damage because I treat it like a redheaded stepchild. Should I use it as a trunk gun (locked/chained up, security isn't really the question), or trade/sell it? It would be a super low cost AR to someone else since I wouldn't ask the world for my abused franken build, but far less than I paid for it. Oh, and it's been pretty reliable, had a hang up with reloads in the first couple mags, but no issue since.

If you don't need the money from sale, I vote trunk gun (with 60 round pmag drum), because you just never know...
It's kind of nice having a decent good quality beater AR.
Access to a long gun is a better option if engaging multiple targets, with the ability to accomplish that at a safer distance.

Cosmetic damage? It's a parts gun, not a Colt Python. Load up some mags and give it some more cosmetic damage.
Buy a bunch of add-on furniture from CDT, a knife like flash hider, a flashlight, a laser beam and some sort of Tasco red dot (if they make one), have it custom Duracoated FDE or bronze or something cool and list it here for $1,400.
