Give them an inch and they take a mile. Our founding fathers wanted to have the best weapons available at the time, and they wanted the same for every American. If they had written verbiage to the effect of every citizen has the Right to possess the same weaponry as the military. The government would have to had changed the constitution to restrict the citizens from possessing automatic weapons, there would be no such thing as a tax stamp or an nfa item.

Its pointless to consider trading for something that won't actually solve a problem.
If someone proposed an effective solution to keep guns out of the hands of people with mental issues, a trade might be worth discussion.

nothing. 'shall not be infringed" doesn't leave much room for negotiation. how about instead they give us all the things on the list BACK and stop acting like its some sort of 6th grade "panty trade" game

The wall and ending citizenship by birth. No contemporary political issue will mean jack squat once our demographic replacement has occurred. The entire world should be fighting to keep America from becoming just another country in Central America if they know what's good for them.

That was implied in the language. Keep and bear arms. They meant the same arms that any military might use, any arm. No matter the type/form/caliber/rate of fire/etc.
