Lol. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same. They knew me pretty quick. I went in with a buddy and we laughed at everything and isn't take it seriously. They saw that pretty quick and fixed that for us.

I jumped off of the truck my first day of boot into a mud puddle right in front of the meanest man I've ever met. I was called mud puppy for months after I wore the water out of that hole.

USN 1973 Orlando. Loved boot camp. My buddy dropped two hits of acid on the bus trip down. He got off to a bad start when he stepped off that bus.

Jan 1983 OSUT one station unit training Fort Sill OK 13B Bravo Red Leg Alt.13EC We did Boot & AIT all in one.

We just missed each other.. US Army September 1982....OSUT 15D...Fort Sill, Oklahoma MLSR later down the road.

I think it was in tech school, they had us complete a form listing the places we wanted to be stationed. Being the good ole boy I was, I listed every base in the south. They were kind enough to send me to Okinawa, I guess they thought I wanted to be south of Japan.
