I think it was in tech school, they had us complete a form listing the places we wanted to be stationed. Being the good ole boy I was, I listed every base in the south. They were kind enough to send me to Okinawa, I guess they thought I wanted to be south of Japan.

I listed every place but GA. That was 1 of the reasons I joined in the 1st place.

Me: US Army, Fort Dix, NJ Winter 1989/1990

Cold as a witch's knee in a brass knee brace. I think it snowed 2-3 times per week.

Glad to be old B. Byrd. I was there from Aug. 3 to Nov7. I was Air Police back then. I played softball for the base team so I got a few privileges in second phase. I was the most popular guy in my squadron, I was the "Chow Runner." We ate first most of the time. What squadron were you in?
