What year/base did you go through bootcamp?

I cannot remember how to spell it, but he was Polynesian. We called him Tuley but his name was monopaulotuli or something similar.

My dad did his Boot in San Diego in '51. He was a career Marine (22yrs active, 5yrs reserve). Passed Dec.9,2005. I was born to the Corps, Jan. 22 1958 at Beaufort Naval Hospital. My 2 Nephews did their Boot at Parris Island '98 & '01 if I remember correctly. We are a Marine Corps family although I never served myself, except for the 18yrs I did with my dad before I got a job and Moved out. I miss him everyday, and We Proudly Display the the US Marine Corps Flag in front of our house. "Ooh Rah"
