What year/base did you go through bootcamp?

Army basic was fun after having been through the Navy/USMC brain games. At least with the cannon cockers, they let you go back for seconds, and you could have a Walkman. They actually gave you food you could actually eat, and time to eat it. We even got to go to the e-club twice.

I think my favorite training experience during basic was the fire fighting phase of Navy basic.
For a serious war game, go with The recon guys at Camp Henoko/Schwab in the NTA. They played for real.

Lackland AFB Feb 1976.
Chanute AFB, IL (tech school)
Kadena AFB, Okinawa
Seymour Johnson AFB, NC

I think it was in tech school, they had us complete a form listing the places we wanted to be stationed. Being the good ole boy I was, I listed every base in the south. They were kind enough to send me to Okinawa, I guess they thought I wanted to be south of Japan.

Also...USAF. 1976 - Summer... Lackland TX
Then 4 tears at Vance AFB in Enid, OK
