Thank you to all who have served and still are. My wife and I spent the day at Ft. Benning today at the National Infantry Museum, that's what she wanted for birthday. It was quite an honor and now they have a permanent replica of the Vietnam Wall. Her uncle Jerry is on that wall, KIA Jan. 1968 by a sniper three weeks before he was to come home. He did basic and AIT at Ft. Benning before shipping straight out to Vietnam.

My youngest son was at both of those bases in 2006, Lackland in July and graduated from Sheppard in time to surprise me on my birthday in Dec. I almost had a heart attack when I opened the front door and saw him standing there, I didn't know he was going to be home for Christmas. Absolute BEST birthday present EVER! We went to Lackland for his graduation from basic and the first time I saw one of those jackrabbits I thought it was a dog it was so big. Lol! He still hates Texas to this day.
