What's in the box?

Thought this would be fun for the younger ODT members to try and figure out what's in the box! And when I say the younger crowd I'm thinking about 35-40 and younger. As I am sure most guys over 40 might know or at least have a good hint for others or know exactly what it is

Looks like a standard government kraft box for a surplus sale to private citizen of a 1911A1....

Nope. Not firearm related. But that is a great guess. I hadn't thought about that but would make sense with size of box.

Upon a short internet search, I think it could be an order of patches or insignia for stationed soldiers..

I think it's the right size for a medal or awards box. Assume posthumous since it's addressed to a female and the lack of ZIP code or any other code on the address label indicates (pre 1963-4) but more likely, WWII era or earlier.

Maybe a Purple Heart.
