What's old is new again - Butterfly bombs?

At Ft. Sill we were constantly warned about straying into 'bomb run' areas where cluster bombs had been dropped. They'd get caught in trees and drop at random with the wind.

I ran across a sleeping nook in a underground VC bunker in 1967, where the little guy had set up an empty ammo box by his hammock (like a bedside table). On top or the ammo box was a single cluster bomb being used as a candle holder. Our demo guys were afraid to move it; so they detonated it in place....it was live.
