What's the craziest ammo prices you remember from the last shortage?

Seems like, the resell market would be a little slow right now with full shelves at the stores? That being said, you still see "the ammo guy" at every flea market asking crazy prices.
There's one at Smiley's every weekend. You can see the longing on his face as he remembers the halcyon days of the Great Neckbeard Panic of 2013.

I remember seeing people pay over $1 per round for 9mm, which was just wild! Some places were charging double or even triple what it used to cost. It felt like everyone was trying to cash in on the panic.

Blazer .22 is my go to ammo. During all the insanity I found a guy on RFC selling cases for $250. He was in S.C. I drove two hours each way to get 2 cases. Let's not forget the AR insanity several years ago when people were paying double and triple the price for a cheap AR.

410 target shells for $18.99 per box. That's $20.31 per box with &% tax. or .812 cents per shot. Makes shooting a 50 BMG seem reasonable.

I drove from Athens to Alabama to buy 5500rds of 7.62x39 during the panic. The price seemed very high, but as time went on it was a good purchase.

Bucket of Remington golden .22 , 1,400 count , at a pawnshop in Dallas GA for $400 . My son and I laughed . Not one minute later dude bought it with a credit card . 2021 or so .
