I already have. My 257 is one of the last rifles I would ever get rid of.Better stock up on components, then.
I likes a 1/4 bore....257 Wby. I don't like the price of the ammo. A bit hard to find tooI already have. My 257 is one of the last rifles I would ever get rid of.

The 17HM2 is the ultimate squirrel hunting round. It does 85-90% of what the HMR can do at half the cost and less bulky ammo. I think it was hurt by being introduced after the HMR and the sad fact that there just aren't that many squirrel hunters anymore. Everyone is after those big horns for the 'Gram!I'd like the national firearms act to be amended to exempt from all the restrictions and taxation requirements any firearm that is chambered only to shoot
.17 Mach 2. (.17 rimfire, but non-magnum.)
THAT would spur a revitalization of that cartridge for sure.
Which one? I think savage is the only maker currently offering them new.My favorite squirrel rifle is in 17 Mach 2!
