What's the next cartridge to be resurrected?

Me too.. my grandmother's Colt 1908 that she carried to work when Tybee was still kinda wild during Prohibition.
I've replaced the corroded barrel and all springs.j
Mine's a Beretta 950. Carried it for a number of years till they came out with the 3032. Started with a Jennings 22

I'd like the national firearms act to be amended to exempt from all the restrictions and taxation requirements any firearm that is chambered only to shoot
.17 Mach 2. (.17 rimfire, but non-magnum.)

THAT would spur a revitalization of that cartridge for sure.
The 17HM2 is the ultimate squirrel hunting round. It does 85-90% of what the HMR can do at half the cost and less bulky ammo. I think it was hurt by being introduced after the HMR and the sad fact that there just aren't that many squirrel hunters anymore. Everyone is after those big horns for the 'Gram!

Well, the .17 HMR is definitely a longer range proposition and the extra velocity is useful for killing varmints.

But I'd own several guns in 17 Mk2 if the price were even close to the same ballpark as 22LR, but because price and availability is a factor I stay away from the "17" in all of its forms and variations.
