Aks are going to require a 12-20 ton shop press, some specialized rivet tools, and some rivet skills. There are some specialty tools you can get to avoid the press, but there is still a lot involved.

1911, 10/22, maybe even take a Savage action and make yourself a nice long range rifle just how you like it.
When someone says parts kits I think of deactivated imported firearms, not brand new pieces sold by manufacturers.
I've already got an FV-SR, but probably would've gone with the Ruger American instead if I'd done my homework on the magazine situation.Dont start. It is a sickness! Then you have to have the companion RAR bolt actions. My excuse is they all use the same magazine

Well, considering he is tired of building AR's, one would assume that he is wanting a plug and play type of build.
I figured he wanted more of a challenge . Once I top off my Uzi collection I'll be building my own . I have never built anything that requires the type of work that an Uzi does so it should be interesting
I havent done a uzi yet either. I am stuck on HK's right now.
