Whats the worst physical pain you've ever felt?

dislocating my knee, crawling across the floor, and then realizing i couldnt and relocating it myself. also the last concussion i had. it was the only time i have ever vomited and passed out from pain.

tough choice, could have been when I was young an had a bike wreck that trapped the twins under a strand of electric fence while I was laying in water..............nah. Or the wreck that left my right leg shattered and hanging backwards.........nah. I'm thinking it was probably that time the 10 mm piece of steel pierced my rib cage, cut an artery stopped close to the heart and bleeding collapsed both lungs. Yep, I'm thinking that one. Course all that hair they shaved in prep hurt growing back mighty bad

Holy **** Man!

In 1998 I hit a Suburban head on while driving a Camry. We were both doing about 50 at impact. I smashed the break pedal flat to the floor sideways...so my right leg took some impact/force.

I crushed my upper tibia plateau. (wide part that forms the lower part of the knee joint- aka shin bone). I had to have 3 surgeries to correct it but the first was the worst. They had to remove some bone and were supposed to replace the bone with bone from my hip. But they ended up using donor bone because they needed more than they thought and couldn't take that much from my hip. So I have some dead guys bone in my leg now, a steel plate and 7 screws that go all the way through laterally across the top of my tibia.

When I woke up from that surgery, I literally had tears flying out of my eyes like a cartoon rather than running down my face. If I moved a finger or even blinked, it hurt more than I ever imagined pain could feel. They didn't put it in a cast, just an immobilizer because I had to lay in a passive exercise machine (contraption that raises the leg and bends it over and over to prevent disuse syndromes. Didn't prevent atrophy though. My calfs completely disappeared and turned into pencil legs lol. I had to lay in that thing 12 hours a day for 2 weeks, then 8 hours a day for 2 weeks and finally 4 hours a day for 2 weeks. Every day for those 6 weeks, I had to turn a dial to crank it higher and bend it further. I was quite happy when that thing went away. I was unable to bear any weight on that leg for 10 months.

So for about 6 months, I was a little heavy on narcotics that didn't come close to helping but I was typically in a state of not caring after the first few weeks anyway. Those first few weeks were pure agony. Even morphine didn't help. After 10 months, I could take a few steps. By the 1 year anniversary of the wreck, I was able to walk a half mile...but I had to call someone to come get me because I couldn't make it back. Now, I walk without a limp but I can still tell you the exact moment the barometer drops before it rains!

^----- divorced twice here, Touche'.

worst pain for me is a toss up between impacted wisdom teeth (both eyes swole shut overnight) or a hyper extended knee or recently a kidney stone.
