Is it just me or is making a brand new gun look beat to death just odd. I have seen some that look pretty cool with multiple layers but just a black gun with the finish rubber off in high contact areas seems like a good way to devalue a new gun.

this is the only real way to make a battle worn finish
this is what it look like when you use a a rifle in war since 1907 then another country uses it since 1933 after re-barrelling the receiver thus going through 3+ wars and at least 1 total rebuild
Battle worn finishes do add character even if it is fake nowadays since the average soldier can't bring back a firearm from a war zone, thanks atf

I can appreciate the character of a well used and operated firearm. Especially one that has earned every ding, scratch, and bare metal spot.
The only advantage that I can see is you don't have to worry about ****ing up your gun. It comes pre-****ed up.
