What's worse, Flippers or Low-Ballers?

My problem with flippers is that they bought up all the ammo leaving us normal people with empty shelves. Shooting is supposed to be a recreation sport but when the shelves are empty people have two choices, pay inflated prices or don't shoot. The people who were in this for a profit and created a shortage that made it hard for the normal person to take his children shooting were hurting this sport. It was very frustrating to see that. I gave away several boxes of ammo to people who said they really needed it because I want people who want to have fun with it to have it.

Agreed.

Yea I guess you could reason that people that either got caught with their pants down or those that got more money than time and/or sense are feeding the flippers but when you get people that just go to Walmart or Cabelas or anywhere else where theres ammo in stock at a decent price and buy it all up what that does is creates a panic mentality. Then normal people go into those stores and they don't see any ammo anywhere and they come on here and they see flipper ammo they buy it. If they have nothing thats what they do. So yea the problem is more flippers than the buyers. If people weren't so flip happy there would be ammo in stock probably. But what the byproduct of that is you have people that wouldn't normally be buying ammo buying it when they see it in stock. Its just a crazy cycle thats been created and its feeding all of itself, until peoples stockpile as much as they want and then things will subside.

I've found 100 to 1 hoarders to flippers? I bet half the people who complain about flippers, buy up the majority of the ammo and then sit back and grumble about the guys burning up the road try to get their gas money back.

my friend had a hunting rifle of his listed a few months ago on armslist, this one guy constantly called him about the rifle with low-ball offers, my friend almost sold the rifle to him because he was going into the navy, about 3 days later i found his rifle re-listed for a higher price with a different phone number on it WITH THE SAME PHOTOS, it was the low-balling asshole trying to sell the rifle before he even bought it. (i confirmed the phone number)

i called the guy for a couple day asking about the rifle, i was being dick over the phone to him (it was very fun), until i finally told him that i knew he did not own the rifle, and to take his listing down. he completely denied all of it but the listing was down in 20 minutes.

damn flippers.

Huh? LOL! I'm sorry I didn't get the gas money part.

I said that part because I know a guy (and have bought ammo from him) who drives all over looking for ammo
He usually marks it up 20% when he finds it. It's still cheaper than the back ordered crap after shipping...
I could honestly care less either way since I don't have anything to shoot..

Well if you figure he gets a 555 Winchester pack for $28, sells it for $33 thats a heck of a lot better than a flipper's price of $60.
