What's your best "accidental good shot"

Mine was several years ago while Deer Hunting on a WMA in south Ga. I was on one side of a steep valley about 75 yards wide and my buddy was down about 5r00 yards. I heard something coming fast and readied my 30-30 and then 2 Deer were running along the opposite side of the ridge and I estimate 60 yards from me, when they were directly across the valley The Deer on my side, closest to me was a buck with a nice rack. I took aim with the iron sights, they were moving too fast for the scope, I fired and damned if the inside deer dropped immediately and the Buck kicked onto high gear and vanished down the valley toward my buddy truck with mu butt tighter than nobama's purse strings, scared I'd hear someone say, hold up Mr, and turn to see a man in a green uniform.. I quickly scoped the down deer and its head was slicker than mine, a Doe no doubt and it wasn't Doe day so I quickly gathered my stuff and headed to the truck with by. My buddy came out about a half hour later and could tell I was shaken and he said why th hell didn't you go gut that deer and call me to help drag it out. I told him I has shot at the Buck and hit the doe and went to the truck, he said no you hit the Buck, it was about 150 yards down the valley and when I came up on it there was 2 Mexicans that were heading into the woods gutting it, he couldn't speak Spanish so he left them to it since he wasn't sure what had transpired. So my best accidental shot was 2 for 1 2 deer 1 39-30 hand load.

Squirrel hunting with an old .22 rifle when I was a kid I shot from the hip and hit a squirrel as he was in the air jumping between two trees.

Got my new Ruger American Rifle in .308 with Redfield scope. Went to Charlie Elliott to zero on the 100 yard range.

Made a few shots, made a few scope adjustments. Made a few shots and then the range was called cold. Made final adjustments on the scope.

When the range went back hot, I steadied her and squeezed. After that shot, I stopped shooting.

And no, I'm sure I couldn't do it again...

I was 15 years old and squirrel hunting with my cousin I was using my uncles old single shot 22 with iron sights I was about to call it quits when we saw a vulture circling above us had to be at least 150 yards up I took aim the best I could trying to follow him as he flew i squeezed the trigger and what do you know he came spiraling down to the earth I had shot him in the neck and severed his spine I don't think I could replicate that shot if I tried

When I was a kid I dropped a 3" bird with one shot from a Dana pellet rifle at 100+ yards, iron sights. My eyes were a hell of a lot better then. I couldn't even see the limb at that distance now, much less the bird.

When I was 12?

With a wrist rocket.. (slingshot).. I had put a new surgical tubing sling on it and a friend came over and asked if I could hit anything with it. I pointed out a tree beyond 100 yards. I had intended to hit the 'tree' meaning anything within the limbs... which was a large target. I picked up a rock, launched.. and hit the trunk of the tree midway up (6in diameter). He was amazed... I never shot again that day.
