Pannell's was my favorite until I moved away as they let an inveterate trader like me deal with them. I am sorry to learn of Bob's passing. I really enjoyed haggling with him, and he introduced me to John Harrison.

Stoddard's in Douglasville is an up and coming gun store gets my vote. They will be adding a indoor range soon and will become a full service gun store. Knowledgable staff who are always helpfull to all who enter. Always get a smile when you walk in.

Where in Douglasville?

I hate to break negative but a couple of y'all have touted AR Bunker in Newnan. I've been there a few times. They do INDEED have a nice selection(man they got toys galore!) and I guess they aren't too bad on their prices but they just flat out insulted me on a trade offer. They did it politely and they are friendly enough but I still left insulted. I paid $367 delivered for a Taurus PT111 Milennium Pro. Put about 100 rds thru it and was thinking about trading it towards a Glock or Sig. Stopped in at AR Bunker and was offered $175 trade-in. Maybe it's just me but losing 200 bucks in a month 'cause I put 100 down the pipe kinda hurt my feelings ;) I just smiled, said "Thanks for your time" and left.

Now my favorite Gun store is Southern Shooters in Lagrange. The handgun selection is fairly small but the people are honest, friendly and won't insult your trade-in...much...lol. I've made a few deals at Southern Shooters and will be back for more.

Now see... I have heard that from others. The only time I tried to trade they offered me a pretty good price on my Delta Elite. I understand they can't give retail and make any money. That's the reason I usually sell to individuals. I buy some reloading stuff, occasionally some ammo, and accessories from them sometimes but have never felt like I got a bad deal. I have never purchased a firearm from them though (changed my mind about the Delta). I like the new shop here in town ( The Trading Post) and will probably do a lot of business with them. The AR Bunker is still a good source for other items like accessories and such.

Couldn't agree more about the accessories. I shopped the net for my ATI top-folding stock for my Mossberg Maverick and AR Bunker had it in stock for a couple of bucks more than my best price. Tack on shipping from the net and I probably saved a buck or two. I also got to play with..er I mean mount it that day ;) They really do haev a fantastic selection there too. I had never held a Kahr(or seen one for that matter) until I saw it at AR Bunker. They have plenty of Glocks and I think they have more Sigs than Switzerland and more AR's than the ARmy('cept they're semi's). They even have at least one Barret. If money was no object, I'd probably lack the patience to wait for one of the non-stocking stores to get what I wanted when I could pay a bit more and get it NOW at AR Bunker.
