I have to say I have been to several gun stores in Georgia and love alot of them. I guess my first one would be GT Distributors in Rossville, they cater to LEO/Military(active, reserves, retired)/1st Responders but sell to everyone else as well. The only catch is that some of the guns(Sig, Glock and I believe Springfield) they only sell to the LEO/Mil/1st Resp due to contract with the gun companies. I have no complaint about this since I am military stationed in Georgia. My second would be Nick's Guns in Marietta. They have a good ever changing selection and the staff are pretty friendly, the prices are competitive and they have an indoor range, which includes 2 rifle lanes. With every weapon purchase they give you 20 dollars in range credit. My last one is one I recently went to and it was in Lawrenceville, Bulls-Eye. They have a very impressive selection or all types of weapons, I guess you could say they cater to alot of different peoples want and needs. They have all kinds of accessories, they also have a range but I was not able to shoot. You can also rent guns even some sub-machineguns if you don't have your own weapon. The staff here is also friendly and pretty knowledgable.

What are your favorites?

My favorite used to be Pannell's. I had bought guns from Bob for well over 20 years. He was a wealth of knowledge and I miss talking to him (For those who did not know Bob Pannell, he passed away about 2 years ago, give or take a little).

My current favorite gun shop is Acworth Guns, in large part because I own it. Okay, I cheat a little, so sue me. Second thought, don't. I can't afford it.

I like bass and antler in Milledgeville. Because they won't try to sell you something, I went in there and they had a conversation with me, said to go home and sleep on it that i might be making a mistake buying a gun in a hurry and take my time. They also were trying to get me to buy a cheaper gun, that told me they arent out for my money but me. They also have a conversation with you, plus the best prices I have seen.

All of this sounds like good information for others on this website to check out on a weekend. I love going in to a gun store and not feeling hurried to look for what a new purchase as well as the friendly conversation and personal connection you get with a good gun store. It's easier to lose a customer then it is to get them to keep coming back. Come on everybody, let's hear about your favorite gun stores and why!!!

We folks in the SE have Mission Essential with a store in Hinesville and also one in Savannah. I have found a lot of bargains there...

I'll put my vote in for 400 Jewelry and Loan in Dawsonville. They have a great selection, low prices and a very knowledgeable staff that actually understands what customer service means. They also didn't jack up all thier prices as much as some others right after King Barry was elected.

I know about Mission Essential, I bought a Vector V93 from them a couple months ago at a gun show here in Atlanta. I usually go to most of the gun shows in and around Atlanta and they almost always have a large setup

Once again for folks in SE Ga, Jerry's Sport shop in Ambrose is pretty good. It's a tiny store, but they have a big selection and prices are pretty good.

X2 on 400 Jewelery and Loan, have bought 9 guns from them so far.Forsyth Pawn is their partner, some good deals there also.+ 90 days same as cash.

I like Pannells, friendly and knowledgeable. Like the range, but would even better if they expanded and put in some rifle lanes.
