I am never to far from my AK47. But it's just because it's what I have spent the most time behind the trigger with. So shoot what you are comfortable with.

I have fired a shotgun more than everything else combined. I can look at something and hit it, am that comfortable with one.

A 12 ga, A-5 would be my pic. The speedfeed feature makes it faster than any other auto.

AR-15 just because that's what I have and am familiar with. I don't really think it has a big advantage over an AK or anything.

I 100% agree a 12ga is a bad choice in almost every situation. I have tons of time behind my 3 gun shotgun and have ran the piss out of it but I still would never trust an auto shotgun with my life when it comes to reload times capacity and overall reliability an AR or AK is going to always be the better choice.
