When you pay a gunsmith to ruin your AR10

Yep. Even without that, by grinding the lower they removed the anodized/hardened layer of metal on the feed ramps. The ramps are now soft and won’t hold up to repeated bullet impacts. Ruined in more ways than one.

It was probably some half-ass machinist who thought he was a gunsmith!

I have seen similar feed ramp damage done in other rifles. It's a shame that it's SO hard to find a legit gunsmith. We had one in Macon from the 70s to the 90s called Dorns. Don't know what happened to them but now it's damn near impossible to find one.

That gunsmith probably took a one week on line course called “you too can be a gunsmitt”. I have to say that’s some really poor smithing even for a third grader. What a poor excuse for a gunsmith. Has the weapon been fired since he got it back?? I think I’d be looking to take this clown to small claims court and get my money back plus court cost and lawyer fees.

That’s awful! It looks like a sight challenged tweaker got ahold of it it with a can of blue rustoleum and a rusty fingernail file.
