Just as good as the overpriced sales, are the lowball offers. I get it that asking for a better deal is normal. But taking an item that's already priced fairly, and putting your own lowest possible price on it, then offering 75% of that is just crazy. Especially if you're then going to get upset when I politely decline your offer. The things I sell on here are because I WANT to sell them, not because I NEED to.

Easy lil trick to keep from idoit marking your 1911.Take the slide stop out and take a file to the backside of the slide stop lever .File in a small V notch on the backside of the slide lever where the detent pin hits it.

Or you could just put it back together correctly without scratching your gun or removing metal from the slide stop.

Assembly mark or two in there. A couple of them don't have enough finish left to tell.

For those with shaky hands, just place a thin plastic card (or a sheet cut from a plastic bottle) between the potential idiot mark position when you reassemble. This works great on an SKS receiver cover, too. Whoever inherits my Tula SKS will think it's never been disassembled.

If you didn't put an idiot mark on your first 1911, it was already there or you're a direct descendant of John Moses Browning.

You know what would be really nice? Being able to rate ads like 1 to 5 stars. That way I wouldn't have to open any 3 star or below ads.

We could do that before the software upgrade. Nobody used it. I did for certain .22 ammo ads. It was very therapeutic.
