I’m in the market for a transferable M16, and it seems that they’re pretty much all online, and the prices have skyrocketed in the past year. I’d prefer a non colt factory model, as these command a premium. I’m also trying to stay away from SP1 conversions, as I don’t like the slab side. PAWS and SGW seem to be the best non colt rated ones.

Anyway, if anyone has seen one locally, please let me know. I’m trying to avoid out of state ones because of the transfer process.

Online sales bring the most money and the fastest sales generally. I know if I was selling one, I would be doing so online.

As far as trends....thank you Covid inflation!

^^^ David is who I do 90% of business with when it comes to transferables. I have four Colt M16s (1 M16A1 and 3 M16A2s) I bought from him over the years. Those and a dozen other make/type machineguns. I could not recommend anyone in the business higher than him.

The next time we get a Republican (or libertarian) President and the GOP controls the legislative branch,
we ought to lobby for a bill that mandates that the 20" barreled M16 rifles be declared SUPRLUS and offered for sale, as-is, to any qualified buyer who is willing to do the NFA registration process and pay the NFA tax.

P.S. For those of you who are .223 machinegun owners whose guns would drop greatly in value if this were to happen, well, sorry, but it's for the greater good. I say flood the market with transferable M16's for a dozen years.

Post-PS: Naturally, this new law would be a partial repeal of the 1986 law that cut-off the transferability of post-May, 1986 full autos.
