I have seen a couple m-16’s pop up lately, but most are AR-15 conversion pre 1986.

The true Colt M-16’s are valued higher as they are ‘factory’ select fire.

I’m in the market for a transferable M16, and it seems that they’re pretty much all online, and the prices have skyrocketed in the past year. I’d prefer a non colt factory model, as these command a premium. I’m also trying to stay away from SP1 conversions, as I don’t like the slab side. PAWS and SGW seem to be the best non colt rated ones.

Anyway, if anyone has seen one locally, please let me know. I’m trying to avoid out of state ones because of the transfer process.

Have you tried Sturm? There are at least a few transferables listed now.

Just so you know there were factory full auto rifles sold by colt back in the day that came from the factory marked AR-15.
