Where did you take Basic training or Boot Camp?

I was an instructor at the ATC school in Millington Nov 77-Sept 79. Loved the job, hated the location.
Ahhhhh scenic Millington! The Rip Van Winkle motel, the Mermaid Club and the Anchor. Did you know Earl and Linda Arnnet?

They moved the NATTC to NAS Pensacola 10-15 years ago and one of my old PI buddies (Mike McCarthy)went LDO and was the division officer down there.

Lackland AFB San Antonio June- August '67. Hottest, most miserable place I've ever been. It was 6 weeks, but they crammed it into 9 because we had to wait for tech school to start.
Then telemetry school for 8 months in Denver.
On to Patrick AFB Cocoa Beach FL. 6549 CEMS.
We helped put a man on the moon.

Ft Dix, NJ, 1984.

Me and 6 guys from the South, everybody else in the Co was from the Bronx. As in Jail or the Army... Most wretched folks you ever met. Our Guidon was furled all but one day of Boot.

Thank God there were three of us that would fight......

Ft Sill for AIT the next summer.

ROTC Camp at Bragg in 87, the Graduated North GA College and Commissioned in 88 to the FA.

I hate the wind as well.

And we discovered you replaced me as Commander in Toccoa. Small world bro.
