Where do I buy an ok dresser at?

I mean an ok dresser, not oak. Wanting it painted white, and mainly want something that will hold up for a while. The cheap stuff has issues with the slides either breaking or pulling out of wood. So I'm looking for a slightly less cheap dresser, around $500 or less. Really looking for 2, one horizontal, one vertical. Thanks for the direction!

Go to a Thrift store and you'll find what you need. Older Tallboys and bureaus that are solid wood.

Yardsales. Look for the really old ones back when they actually used real wood. Or Marketplace if you do FB

had to buy one to move in with my now wife. It Had to be an Ethan Allen. I think it was made during the Revolutionary War. Solid like a tank and it was only $1500 30 years ago. Still have it and her too! GLWDresser

Yard sales, thrift stores, online ads. You cannot touch the quality of a standard 1950's dresser today for less than $1,100. Any of the aforementioned venues should have what you seek for $175 max.

Other than that, go to a unfinished furniture store and buy a solid oak one. That way you know what ur getting
