Cubihatcha Outdoor Education Center does a kids fishing day every year. I've been to their facility for a few 4-H functions in the past and I know they try to keep a supply of rods and reels. They might appreciate a few extra. Here is a page about the event:

GA DNR Fisheries does a lot of kid's fishing events, and their equipment definitely needs improvement.

PM me, and I can tell you who to contact in your area of the state.

I live about a mile from the center. Is there anyone to get in contact with there? Like a real person? Not interested in dial "1" for English automated junk.
I've got a crap ton of stuff and I doubt seriously if I'll ever use any of it again and I'd just as well it went to a good cause.

Here is a link to the website, you can read about some of their stuff. If I had to guess, the 678 number listed in the contact us section is the phone line straight to the office on site. If you want to make a drive to the place, there is an office building there that you could probably knock on a door and get a live specimen to talk to you. There ought to be public parking, there are walking trails and what not around the place. It's been a couple years since I've done any work over there but the folks at Cubihatcha were always good people. I can't tell you for certain the best way to contact them but that phone number is probably a good start.
