We have been going over to Riverbend in Cussetta on the Chattahoochee for the past little while and have been having a blast. We have been fishing with noodles and having good luck. We just like being on the water and putting fish in the boat as a family. This past weekend my daughter was home from college and it was her first time with us and we all but got skunked. The water level is very low.

Long intro now the question. Where would be a good place to go this weekend? We dont care if its panfish, catfish just enjoy the time. We are looking for somewhere within an hour of Americus/Ellaville.

The power damn in Warwick used to be a great place to fish and camp. Not sure where the water level is now, but when it’s really low you can really explore the area, looking for Native American artifacts.

Just remember to watch your speed, lol.

We have not been below the dam. I hear they give speeding prizes in Warwick.
Have you tried blackshear or eufala noodling
We have not. We went to blackshear only once but now that boating season has passed we should try it again.

Have not been to Eufala. I’m worried the water there will be low as well.

Eufaula was a great place to bass fish in the 70s. I don't know how it is now

West Point lake is really low when I drove past an old hot spot on Hwy 27. Not even a single vehicle parked on the road to go drop bait as it must have been 250 yards of mud shoreline all around.

If you like camping, check out Blanton Creek on Lake Harding. Great little set up on the water with easy boat access! There’s also a hole in the wall steak house called Hunters Pub a few min away for some AMAZING steaks and fried lobster tails!
