On this link there a 4 scopes I am contemplating purchasing to go on a .308 AR. Which would you buy and why?
Illuminated is not a must, but a plus. Primarily deer hunting use, but I want to start shooting longer ranges, and possibly competition with it down the road.

What makes the Nightforce or Trijicon better than the Nikon?

    Thank you for the help!

Thanks. I see he does a lot of long range shooting so I definitely would value his input.

Hunting mainly, no more than about 250 yds., but down the road I may want to stretch this out to a mile.

For hunting and low light conditions I solely use Zeiss. Have used them for years. I have had a a chance to look thru a 250 K Zeiss neurosurgical Microscope in an OR, 15 years ago and was blown away with their optics.

I've got a 3-9 Zeiss laying around, but where I hunt mostly they have a fairly strict QDM program and shooting button bucks accidentally mistaken for a doe is a $400 fine so I prefer to have a higher zoom than 9x. My current setup is a cheaper illuminated Millet 4-16x50 or a Leupold 3.5-10 VX3.

It will be on an AR in .308, probably FFP. I am mainly curious if the Nikon would come close to the NF or the Trijicon I linked.
