Which SUV?

I just bought a 2012 RAV4 , it has 54000 miles . Paid 11k from a private seller. So far it’s great, all the bells and whistles. Looked at new ones and liked the older models better. The lane guidance crap didn’t appeal to us

Just realized what an idiot I am. I did not mean to post about a Ford Escape.
It is the Ford Edge that I was looking at.
May not be a big difference.

The Escort that a couple have mentioned is nice, however don't want a three row seater and they are way too expensive.
Wish they put that motor in the Edge.

I just turned in my lease 2015 Ford Edge SEL and purchased a 2018 model. I really like this SUV. I researched all of the five seaters and this one was it. I have the 3.5 V6. The vehicle is very quiet and handles very well.
I get about 21 in the city.

Does that motor shut down at traffic stops?
Enough power?

Do you want an SUV or a crossover. Alot of these vehicles mentioned in this thread are just beefed up cars with all wheel drive...

Thanks.
I am not even sure what the differences in crossover and SUV other than possible sizes.
Do not want a full size with three row seats and do not want the mini versions. I think the Edge is what is considered midsize.

No it does not and it has enough power, 280hp. It will get you in trouble quickly if you don't check your speed. It is so smooth. I'm a car nut so take it for what it's worth.
I'm old but I don't drive slow. My saying is if you can't drive it then park it.

I bought a 2010 BMW X3 3.0 from BMW of Macon last August. They even delivered to my house in Ellijay! We love it, no turbos or too many bells and whistles. Leather, 6 speed, under 85k miles. Only managed to put 8k on it since buying it, but love the straight six bimmer motors. It's one of the final Austrian built models, now made in SC, and just about every BMW now has a turbo.
