I have a Norinco Hunter that somebody previously has removed the front and rear sights. I think I'm going to go in a direction away from the "tacti-cool". Instead I'm going to fabricate an adpater to install a Magpul SGA buttstock like a guy on Calguns did, and then install a Magpul MOE AR rifle length handguard but modify it by rotating around since the front sits almost perfectly against the receiver if flipped around.

What I'm trying to decide on is whether to leave the 20" barrel as is and put a Polish AKM flashhider like this:

or chop the barrel to 12.5" and install an extended 4-piece Bulgarian that I have laying around from CNC warrior which would sit just inside the front end of the handguard.

Question is which would have more blast and recoil-the 20" with the Polish AMK Tobuk-style FH or the 12.5" with the 4-piece extended Bulgy. I asked this on the AKFiles forums and got some feedback. I was wondering what some of the more experienced AK users on this forum though about it. Thanks

What I have in mind is something like this but with a RS Regulate side mount and a Primary Arms 3x Prism scope.
