Who all carry a pistol while deer hunting

Well unfortunately i dont not carry a pistol while deer hunting. I have to much stuff and i wear coveralls for one. Two I forget it in truck . I do have a chest rig but dont remember to get it.After the other day i might start carrying one. I shot a doe the other day and she fell behind my tree I climbed. Had 5 buzzards fly in and sat in tree watching her for about 15 mins.

I haven’t hunted in years, but yes I always carried a pistol when hunting. Dispatched a wounded dear with it once. Was glad I had it a few times when some crazy anti- hunters became deranged and unstable.

I normally have mine with me, lately it's been a kahr cm40 that fits in my pocket but I'll periodically carry a SAA .45.

I’ve always carried one either on me or in my small hunting bag. I’ve scared dogs off with it, and it’s taken some deer out. It’s my ruger P95. Built like a tank.

Always do regardless if I'm hunting or not. I tend to OWB while hunting. I was hunting a WMA one time and land owners adjacent to the WMA sicked their dog s on me.

Yep, same here. Had a few dogs over the years that had to be discouraged.

Most often carry a Ruger Blackhawk in .357

Every time. Mostly in case I come across a 2 or 4 legged critter somewhere they shouldn’t be. I hunt(ed) private land where I was the only one allowed on property.
