Who is the Garand expert around here?

I've never been highly knowledgeable about what parts fall into what serial number ranges. There's always small stuff to look for like lot numbers and specific date codes. Anyone know of a book or someone on here who is really knowledgeable about period correct Garands. Maybe bring me up to speed.

If you need any help just post in This forum and we will help as much as we can (remember pictures of every number and even a peen mark are important including cartouche's).
I have a Few of these rifles and I know a few others on here with a good working knowledge of these rifles.
The recourses that have been posted are the Best ones out there and Bruce Canfield's Book and Scott Duff's Book are excellent on these rifles as well.

Edit:
If someone says they have an all matching M1-Garand that does not mean that the seral number is stamped on all the parts it means that the Drawing numbers on the parts are correct for the year and month of manufacture (just FYI).

Here's an example of a datasheet...

From Duff’s book, a April 43 should have:

Bolt - D28287-12SA

Gas Cylinder – Narrow Platform

Follower – 11

Trigger Guard – Milled

Hammer - C46008 – 3SA

Trigger Housing – D28290–12-SA

Op Rod – D35382 6 SA

Stock – SA/EMcF

These are just a few of the major parts. Duff’s book will define all parts.
