Who is the greatest NFL player of all time?

The men back then would be dominated by the men playing today. The athletes today are bigger, stronger and faster, that's a fact.
Those guys back then couldn't hang today on their best day.
Yep. All those greats from back then would barely make it today. Just watch a tape from a game in the 60's-70's. They're slower and smaller. Today's defensive ends are faster than running back's were back then. Today's lineman outweigh those guys by 60+lbs. Just looked up Conrad Dobbler's stats, sure he was big at 6'3" 250ish pounds. But Derick Henry is a running back and almost that size. It wouldn't even be a fair matchup. The big bad Jack Lambert was only 220lbs during his days on the Steelers. There are receivers bigger than that now.

Yep, they were smaller, slower and weaker. People bitch about the rules today, and some of the QB rules are ridiculous, but with as big and fast as these guys are now days they can't just run around targeting each other or there would be nobody left to play

People think the guys back in the day were tough but if you sent these athletes today back in time to play those guys with those old rules they would take them all out.

^^^ paint fumes have burnt that cabbage up
It's just the facts, if the "tough" guys you remember growing were playing today they would be the smallest, slowest, and weakest men on the field. They would be getting bounced around like a little ping pong ball by a bunch of dudes in dread locks. It would look more like something out of the BBC section of pornhub than it would a football game

Hell...virtually any team in the SEC would that.

burnt slap ass up.
sorry, but Jack Lambert was a whopping 220lbs. We have punters bigger than that now! Jack Lambert ain't ripping the head off of a 330lb 6'5" lineman built like a silverback gorilla. It just ain't happening. In today's NFL, he wouldn't even be considered for a linebacker position until he put on another 30lbs of muscle.

This is facts. Those guys were tough for their time, but today’s bench players are as good as they were. NFL and NCAA weren’t even really doing strength and conditioning programs til the late 70’s early 80’s, or something. Nebraska’s coach’s figured all that out.
